I pay respect to the Elders past, present & emerging of Torres Strait Region.


I am a fisherman/diver from Mer Island Torres Strait and my Tribe: Dowareb Tribe from Dowar & Waier Isles.. My tribal totem is the Nam(green turtle), Dabor(mackerel), Waumer(frigate bird).


I work as a Project officer under ANU (Australian National University Canberra) for the Japan Zenadth kes Project.


15 years experience working for TSIRC in engineering providing essential services to Mer Island community in water & wastewater treatment plant operations, fuel & gas, roads & drainage maintenance, airport & waste management, housing, council infrastructure.


Advocate for Indigenous Human Rights for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islands people


10 years in Torres Strait Fisheries Advisory group working in partnership with local fishermen and island communities, TSRA, CSIRO Scientists, AFMA(Australian Fisheries Management Assoc), State Govt in establishing the current Torres Strait Fisheries Management plan for Crayfish(kaiar), Finfish(mackerel & Coral trout), Sea cucumber(aber or baiat) for Zenadth kes region.


Qualified scuba & hooker diver (Certificate 2 & 3 Aquaculture).


Qualified Boat 12metres/Marine skipper licence(Marine engine grade 3 NC & Coxswain grade 1 NC).


I fully support Torres Strait land & sea conservation & preservation, also bringing education and training to support traditional ecological knowledge working in partnership with science for better land and sea conservation projects for Torres Strait region.
